FLOT Jr 2008
ABOUT: FLOT Jr. is a
summer project brought to you by the Fairbanks Light
Opera Theatre. Three week-long, age-specific fine
arts summer camp sessions will teach the basics of
musical theater: acting, singing, dancing, costumes
and makeup application, set construction, stage
props and painting scenery. Each session culminates
on Friday evening at 6:00 pm with a production of
what the kids have rehearsed during that week.
DATES: The camps run
Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm. Required
orientation sessions will be held at Dance Theatre
Fairbanks at 1pm on the Sunday prior to the week of
the session. Please Note: FLOT Jr. is being held
in a new location! Classes will be held in the
Dance Theatre Fairbanks building (656 7th
Avenue)...next to Sadler's in the old Fire Station!

STUDENTS: Students
should wear light, comfortable clothing that
will make it easy to do choreography and won't
hurt if a little paint gets on them while
painting sets! Shoes should be sturdy and
provide good support. (Flip-flops or sandals are
discouraged).
Students should
bring a sack lunch each day, as no food is
provided. Two exceptions to that rule will be
discussed at the orientations!
